UMNO party election system made it very difficult to challange the presidency

UMNO party system was created to make it almost impossible to challenge the party presidency.

KU LI faces daunting task to call for UMNO EGM meeting. It is very brave for KU LI to offer himself...to be slaughtered by Pak Lah UMNO "dogs". This is very noble for a Kelantan prince to offer his service as UMNO is very close to his heart, but unfortunately.... as what we now see is that all UMNO members have no backbone to stand straight and very afraid to put things right.

This is the current UMNO state of affairs! All UMNO leaders live in a climate of fear. They fear to voice of their displeasure.

Ironically, Pak Lah call it a democratic party where he will listen to the voices of UMNO members. But is won't be easy, he his protected by boneless UMNO supreme council members. This circle will ensure that there will be no objection to the party presidency....anyway they also have their "special squad" PAKIDA the famous fearsome authorized gangster approved by PDRM???

Once iron lady Rafidah and her group had wanted to voice their displeasure earlier, but half way stop short to support the party president. Again this show that the party president is very powerful, just like Mau Tze Tung in China. Rafidah actually do not want to lose her wealth...may be under duress she have to toe the line?

The system created in UMNO make it almost impossible to put a challenge to the party president such as:-

a) would not t be easy to meet the requirement because a challenger must get nominations from at least 30 per cent of the Umno divisions.
b) To qualify as a candidate for the post of a party president, the challenger needs about 60 nominations.

By tradition UMNO BN use to get the Malay support. Now the Melayu has already 'CELEK MATA' (pls exclude the current UMNO leaders and members "BUTA HATI")voice their displeasure by voting 5 states to opposition...and in future the hope to wrest the majority at federal level.

Wait and see.. now BN is now enjoying support from indigenious people in hinterlands in Sarawak and Sabah plus Philipines immigrant with NRIC. And West Malaysia kampung folks that mostly access to mainstream newspaper and watch RTM. This kampung folks get their road patched up at an interval 5 years when there is an election "PANCING UNDI". ALL these will change soon once there is fairness in newspaper reporting and not lopsided news that only carry BN stories. There should be transparencies.

UMNO can continue to keep their president and follow him to sleep forever. Rakyat will elect those only who can work for the rakyat.
